This weekend, Spain’s combat sports community is gearing up for an electrifying event at the Germans Escalas Sports Center in Palma, Mallorca. The inaugural event ‘Fight Island – Desafío de Campeones’ – Trofeu Ciutat de Palma MMA will make its debut on Saturday, November 2, with a day packed with amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights. and professional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

The event kicks off at 9 a.m. and welcomes the public with a children’s kickboxing competition on tatamis, followed by a highly anticipated Brazilian jiu jitsu tournament. This morning segment promises excitement with more than 161 participants showcasing their skills on the mat, setting the tone for a fierce and energetic day.
The evening program begins at 5 p.m. and ramps up the intensity with a variety of combat sports including kickboxing, K-1, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu (no gi) and MMA. These competitions will take place in a regulation octagon, which will host 17 matches in which fighters from 17 teams from across the Balearic region will compete for glory.

The structure of the competition ensures that the Top Three players in each category will earn Medals, contributing valuable points to their respective club’s overall ranking in the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma.
