Shihan Luis Rivas García, the director of KIM schools and a key figure in the organizing committee, recently revealed the first details of this grand edition.
Confirming the venue, the tournament will take place at the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Ecatepec (TESE). Mark your calendars for next Saturday, April 25. Regarding the organization’s commitment, Shihan Rivas highlighted their core philosophy.
“Reaching our twenty-fourth edition is not a matter of chance,” Rivas stated. “It is the result of constant work that we always deliver ‘En Tiempo y Forma’ (In Time and Proper Form). For 2026, our goal is to exceed expectations. We offer a space of respect where every martial artist, from the youngest to the most veteran, can demonstrate the fruit of their discipline.”
Diverse Styles and Dynamic Categories
One of the most attractive points of the contest is its interdisciplinary nature. Consequently, the tournament successfully congregates a vibrant mix of styles. This allows for unique coexistence and competition between practitioners of:
- Karate (Traditional and Contemporary)
- Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do
- Wushu / Kung Fu
- Limalama and Kenpo, among other systems.
Furthermore, thanks to its flawless logistics, this open tournament has positioned itself as a national benchmark. The sports program contemplates a wide array of events. For combat lovers, there are Points, Continuous Fighting, and Kickboxing. For technical artists, the event features Traditional, Contemporary, Creative, and Musical Forms (with and without weapons). Additionally, there are special children’s categories designed for sports initiation and value building.
