Alberth Bahamondes
Ignacio Bahamondes‘s younger brother will make his debut on Aztec soil. Alberth ‘La Jaulita’ Bahamondes will debut in MMA Mexico, one of the longest-running organizations in the country.
His opponent will be Russian Alan Salamov at MMA Mexico 9, a joint card with Mexico Fight League that will feature a Team vs. Team edition. The card will be available to watch on UFC Fight Pass.
Bahamondes will represent the MFL team, one of the organizations that has quickly made a name for itself. The San Ramón native holds a 7-1 record and became known for being the champion of Guerra Campal and Open Fight Latam.
In his last fight, he knocked out Argentine Nicolas Vigna in the main event of Guerra Campal 9, a bout that crowned the welterweight champion of the Chilean regional organization.
On the other hand, Salamov will represent MMA Mexico. The Russian became known for his solid striking exchanges, earning an undefeated 9-0 record. In his United States debut, he knocked out Derek Campos at Fury FC 120.
In his last fight, he knocked out Markus Suarez at IBA Bare Knuckle, a bare-knuckle boxing organization that made its debut on American soil.
Now, he will return to MMA to extend his undefeated record against one of the new prospects of Chilean MMA.
MMA Mexico 9 will take place on September 25 at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
