This Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 card will have a last-minute change.
Jessie Rosas has been removed from his bout for undisclosed reasons. Following his withdrawal, Gianni Vasquez will face Miles Johns.
The change was confirmed by Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports this Thursday afternoon.
Vasquez established himself during his time in Up Next Fighting, where he captured the flyweight belt of the regional California organization. After winning his five belts, he faced Javid Basharat at UFC Vegas 133
After an intense bout, he lost by unanimous decision. Due to missing weight on two days’ notice, he was released from the UFC. In his next fight, he knocked out Komronbek Ortikov at Combate Global: Mexico vs. USA 2.
Following another withdrawal from the UFC Vegas 120 card, “Kriptonita” returns to the octagon and will look to prove that they deserve to be part of the biggest MMA event in the world.
Johns returns to the octagon seeking redemption. ‘Chapo’ will try to end his bad streak in the UFC.
In his last fight, he was finished by Peruvian Daniel Marcos at UFC Vegas 118. Another loss could complicate his stay in the organization he joined in 2019.
UFC Vegas 120 will take place on Saturday, August 8, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
