UFC 327
Alex Pereira’s plans to move up to heavyweight are now a reality. “Poatan” has vacated the title. Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg will determine the new champion in the main event of UFC 327.
The announcement was made by Dana White on Friday night.
Jiri Prochazka will look to regain the title he once held and later vacated due to injury. “BJP” is riding a two-fight winning streak, scoring knockout victories over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr..
Carlos Ulberg will have his first opportunity to fight for the light heavyweight title. After earning his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, he lost his official UFC debut against Kennedy Nzechukwu at UFC 259.
But it was only a minor setback. Following that loss, he put together a nine-fight winning streak. In his most recent bout, he knocked out Dominick Reyes at UFC 320.
UFC 327 will take place on April 11 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
