Combate Global English YouTube
Get ready for a massive shift in the MMA streaming landscape. Combate Global is making history on Saturday, April 11. For the first time ever, the premier Hispanic MMA franchise will broadcast its live action with English commentary straight to its YouTube channel. Fans globally can tune in to watch the highly anticipated “Mexico vs. USA” showdown.
A New Era for MMA Fans
The live show kicks off at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT. Broadcasting live from EstrellaTV’s studios in Burbank, California, the event promises at least four explosive bouts. Historically, Combate Global has exclusively streamed Spanish content on YouTube. This weekend’s switch marks a massive milestone for the promotion and its growing international fanbase. It also kicks off their 2026 Saturday night schedule, with all 18 remaining live events this year slated for Saturdays.
Meet Your English Broadcast Team
Combate Global is bringing in heavy hitters for this broadcast. Popular MMA experts and social media sensations Ben “The Bane” Davis and Alex Wendling will lead the English commentary. They will be joined by undefeated Combate Global welterweight star Jaden Ortega, adding incredible fighter insight to the desk.
The Data Behind the Decision
Why the switch to English? Combate Global looked closely at the numbers. They noticed a rapid increase in younger, Spanish-speaking audiences consuming English content on YouTube globally. Additionally, roughly 75 percent of Hispanic people in the U.S. speak English proficiently. Combate Global CEO Campbell McLaren summed it up perfectly: “At Combate Global, we have found that culture matters more than language. We are the salsa of MMA, and everyone loves salsa!”
Main Event and Viewing Options
The “Mexico vs. USA” card features a thrilling bantamweight main event. Gianni “Kriptonita” Vazquez will take on American standout Alvin “The Anvil” Welch. Fans have multiple ways to catch the action. Alongside the global YouTube stream, U.S. viewers can watch in English on Samsung TV Plus. If you prefer the traditional Spanish broadcast, you can watch live on EstrellaTV or the Spanish Samsung TV Plus channel in both the U.S. and Mexico. Tickets are also available starting at $30 on Ticketon.com.
