La Máquina follows Esteban “ La Máquina ” Osuna (Gael García Bernal), a once-great boxer whose career has hit rock bottom. Desperate for a comeback, his manager and best friend, Andy Lujan (Diego Luna), fights to get him back in the ring. However, their path to success is threatened by a powerful criminal organization, turning what was meant to be a career-saving match into a fight for their lives.
