Yvette Aguaristi vs Danielle Downen 2
Bay Area fight fans have a serious grudge match to look forward to on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Yvette Aguaristi vs Danielle Downen 2 is locked in for NMFC 8 at The Grove in Santa Cruz, CA. After their last meeting went down to the wire, these two are stepping back into the ring to settle things once and for all.
Two Bay Area Promotions Take Over The Grove
This card brings together two distinct promotions for one night by the beach. Santa Cruz native Daniel Compton started Central Coast Fighting Championship (CCFC) to give local fighters a true hometown stage. Now, CCFC is partnering with New Money Fight Club (NMFC), the Bay Area outfit famous for its “fight club in a nightclub” atmosphere.Between the hometown grit, the cinematic walkouts, and a packed schedule of MMA and Muay Thai bouts, the energy inside The Grove is going to be loud from the opening bell.
Unfinished Business in Yvette Aguaristi vs Danielle Downen
There is plenty of recent history fueling the Yvette Aguaristi vs Danielle Downen rematch. The two just squared off on September 19, 2026, at the Mission Peak Sports Plex in Fremont, CA. After three back-and-forth rounds, the judges handed Downen a razor-thin split decision—with Anthony Aurellio, Jordan Balcita, Lynda Chuhawat, and John Tole officiating the bout. A fight that close always leaves questions unanswered. At NMFC 8, Aguaristi gets her shot at payback, while Downen has the chance to leave no doubt.
San Jose’s Six-Time Champion Looks to Even the Score
San Jose native Yvette Aguaristi is not used to backing down. Fighting out of coach John Hurney’s corner, the six-time Muay Thai champion holds a 10-7 record alongside eight amateur kickboxing bouts. She knows how to bounce back from a loss, too. After dropping a split decision to Maya Gibson in Oakland back in April 2025, Aguaristi turned the tables in their five-round February 2026 rematch in Hayward to take the win. By June 2026, she was in Stockton claiming an ISKA title via unanimous decision over Elisa Familiar. Add in past victories over April Vergara in Los Angeles, Megan Mcnelis at Berkeley’s Wat Mongkolratanarum, and Fabiana Nogueira aboard the USS Hornet in Alameda, and it is easy to see why she is hungry for one more belt.
Danielle Downen Rides a Wave of Sharp Decisions
Across the ring, Danielle Downen has stayed busy sharpening her timing in the amateur ranks. She spent late 2024 and 2025 racking up mat time in IKF Point Muay Thai, picking up decision wins over Alana Nguyen at the Evo Sports Expo and beating Priscilla Trinh twice under Shadow Pack Promotions. Moving into full-contact amateur Muay Thai brought tough tests against Juliet Barton, Danielle Loya, and Adalina Elizondo, and each fight made her sharper. That work paid off in 2026 when she beat Yongchan Cai at Kaizen Muay Thai in March before edging out Aguaristi in September.
