Combat Sports Light Up Ecuador This Sunday
Guayaquil, Ecuador – Ecuador’s combat sports scene is about to erupt. On Sunday, October 19, the Ultimate Combat Challenge (UCC) returns with UCC 80: Edition Fuego. The event will take over Sports Garden Guayaquil with over 100 international fights in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA, featuring both amateur and professional athletes.
Raul “El Bebe” Guerrero Steps Into the Spotlight
One of the night’s most exciting matchups features Raul “El Bebe” Guerrero, a rising talent from Guayaquil. He represents Team 8 Armas and will compete in an Amateur MMA bout against Gael Pico. At only 20 years old, Guerrero brings hunger, discipline, and raw fire to the cage.
Although young, he already embodies Ecuador’s next generation of fighters—relentless and fearless.
From Striker to All-Around Fighter
In an exclusive interview with Noticias Fajador, Guerrero explained his growth.
“I started in kickboxing about two years ago,” he said. “Then I transitioned into MMA and Jiu-Jitsu. It complemented my striking and made me a more complete fighter.”
Currently, he holds a Blue Belt in Jiu-Jitsu and trains at Universidad del Jiu Jitsu. In addition, his record on Smoothcomp.com lists four victories.
His training camp at 8 Armas has worked hard to develop his ground game while sharpening his striking skills. As a result, Guerrero enters this fight with both confidence and versatility.
