Kaeshi Team’s Historic MMA Rise
2025 will be remembered as the year Kaeshi Team solidified its status as a powerhouse in mixed martial arts. Under the guidance of Head Coach Guillermo Teze, the Concordia-based gym achieved unprecedented success, proving that local talent can dominate on the global stage.
World Class Achievements
The most significant milestone for the team was affiliating with the GAMMA Federation. This strategic move allowed Kaeshi Team to represent Argentina internationally. The results were staggering. Seven athletes qualified for the national selection, and six traveled to the World Championship.
Ultimately, the team brought home two prestigious medals. Cintia Faría secured a silver medal, while Leo Saucedo earned a bronze. Teze notes that this success required immense financial sacrifice from the athletes, but their commitment paid off.
From Amateur to Professional
Beyond medals, the gym celebrated the professional debut of long-time students. Athletes like Damián Quintana, Francisco Pepa, and Diego Saucedo transitioned to the professional circuit after nearly a decade of training.
Teze emphasizes the pride in watching students grow from novices to professionals. The training regimen is intense, with competitors often training up to six hours a day across disciplines like Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
A Community of Champions
Despite the elite success, Kaeshi Team prioritizes community. The dojo hosts a diverse mix of members, ranging from 13-year-olds to 66-year-old seniors. The philosophy is simple: everyone is treated equally, whether they fight in the cage or train for recreation.
Success stories like Ailín Pérez, now a top UFC contender, inspire the next generation. Looking toward 2026, the team plans to expand the facility and ensure their professionals compete in major national events. The future is bright for this fighting family.
