Daniel Barez
The Spaniard Daniel Barez already has his first bout of 2026 set. The Entram GYM fighter will face Luis Gurule on the UFC Vegas 117 card.
The fight was confirmed by Marcel Droff of Eurosport on Saturday night.
Barez will try to put an end to his inconsistent run in the octagon. The Valencia native has been alternating between wins and losses in his recent bouts.
In his last fight, he was finished by Andre Lima at UFC Vegas 104. Prior to that loss, he defeated Victor Altamirano at UFC Paris. Now, he will look to get back in the win column.
Gurule returns to the octagon facing a much tougher situation than his opponent. After earning his contract on the Contender Series, ‘Grim’ has lost all three of his official UFC bouts.
Luis is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Alden Coria on the UFC Houston card. If he fails to beat Barez, his days in the octagon are likely numbered.
UFC Vegas 117 will take place this coming May 16 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
